Animal Kingdom Lodge Music
I’ve long been a fan of the AllEars page on the music at one of my favorite resorts. Sadly this AKLResort.com post, Animal Kingdom Lodge Music, points out some minor inaccuracies. It also has links to all the albums which I think are good ideas.
I always find this music really relaxing when I’m in the lobby. Even better you can go out to this viewing spot and just sit in a rocking chair and relax.
Animal Kingdom Lodge Primer
Good start on an Animal Kingdom Lodge Primer here. Has some of the information I mentioned about the Safaris. Also found a good post on the Gift Shops. Is anyone going to AKL soon? I’m really jealous.
Kidani Village
So I have a long and storied history with the Animal Kingdom Lodge. I absolutely love the resort and it’s very reasonably priced for a deluxe. Admittedly the rooms are a little small, but I can live with that. So I’m a little concerned about whether I should try out Kidani Village.
I’ve been reading the Kidani Village reviews and it seems to reinforce the idea that I’m not really missing anything over there. I’m vaguely considering DVC, but I feel like I should try out Kidani first. Does anyone have an opinion on this one?

My Favorite Disney Restaurants Part 1: Boma
One of the reasons I try to limit how often I go to WDW is because of how integral eating is as a part of the vacations. I thought instead of getting fat by eating there I’d write about all the places I love.
The first one is one of the Animal Kingdom Lodge restaurants. It’s called Boma and it’s a buffet, but it’s not what you think. While it does have some boring buffet food for the kiddies, it also has all kinds of interesting “Africa inspired” foods. While I’m sure they’re not anything like what you’d get in Africa, they do provide an interesting counterpoint to the lack of good ethnic food in WDW.
It’s pretty busy though, so plan ahead.
